Ten years after the end of the war, Japan was still in the developing stage. The electrical manufacturer I got a job with had a technical tie-up with the United States, but the company's job was to make things according to the blueprints we asked, and ask questions if we had any problems. If that was the case, I thought it would be better to study technology directly in the United States, so I studied abroad at the University of Minnesota's master's program. That was 1963. After completing my master's degree, I returned to Japan and still worked in Japanese technology. Then, I again got a doctoral degree in the United States and worked as a post doctor in the UK. However, I got a job at a Japanese university because of my children's relationships. I'll talk about them on another occasion.
This time, I will describe some of the interesting situations in the United States at that time. Click where you want to see.
